Country Director - Tanzania
Elias Mitslale Girma joined mothers2mothers with 19 years of experience in public health/international relief and development practice, having worked mostly in eastern and southern sub-Saharan African countries. Trained as a medical doctor in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, he also obtained a Masters degree in Public Health for Developing Countries from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Apart from technical expertise in health care, Elias has substantial experience in program management, coordination and in providing institutional strategic leadership. He was working at senior executive position heading an international NGO in South Sudan before joining m2m. His experience in partnership building, fund raising, donor and other partner-relations management is extremely valuable for the organization. Elias is passionate about supporting causes that are aimed at uplifting the African Mother and he thinks mothers2mothers will give him an ideal opportunity to contribute to the improvement of the lives of HIV-positive women. He appreciates the m2m's approach and believes it is only through such efforts and sustained social mobilization that the fight on HIV/AIDS can be won. |
