Country Representative - Kenya
As a life-long believer in the power of peer support for social change, Nicole was thrilled to join mothers2mothers in January 2008. Nicole has diverse knowledge, experience and a cross-cultural understanding of issues faced by women from various walks of life. She has been humbled by her experiences in Canada and many parts of Africa where she has worked with women living with HIV, women and girls seeking abortions, women struggling with eating disorders, women in the sex trade addicted to heroin, and female refugees living in protracted conflict settings. She played a key role in promoting and solidifying the mothers2mothers model throughout Eastern Africa, striving for service excellence and finding creative ways to bring the mothers2mothers program to more women and families. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of British Columbia, and a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. |
