Senior Technical Specialist: Training and Education
Teresa joined the Department of Programs and Technical Support as Senior Technical Specialist: Training and Education in 2010. In that role she leads the design, development and implementation of the organization’s training and education strategies and curriculum development. Before joining m2m, Teresa was with the World Bank, where she was responsible for overall coordination of their in-house HIV Workplace Program in 128 countries. Prior to that she was with Family Health International, where she provided training and technical leadership to strengthen the capacity of program staff and partner organizations to design and implement comprehensive HIV Workplace Programs and mobilize private sector participation for projects in Africa, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East. She spent the first half of her career in training, organizational and workforce development in both the private and non-profit workforce development sectors where she worked with a wide of organizations including the International Monetary Fund, Port of Seattle, Martin Marietta, Deloitte & Touche, Marriott, EDS, CBS, Jones Day, Boeing, and US Department of Labor. Through that work she had an opportunity to spend several months consulting for a company in Botswana where she saw first-hand the devastation that HIV and AIDS can have when it is unchecked. It was that experience which prompted a career shift to focus on capacity and organizational development for HIV programs that continues with m2m. Teresa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Public Relations, and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Psychological Services. |
