EVENT NOTICE: World AIDS Day, Monday December 1st, 2014: Mondrian London at Sea Containers hosts a VIP Lunch for mothers2mothers (m2m), in partnership with Next Management and THE OUTNET.COM. Amidst the glamour of the event will be the important message that preventing HIV-positive mothers from passing on the virus to their babies is the single most important thing we can do to achieve an AIDS-free generation because no baby should be born with HIV and no mother should die of AIDS.

mothers2mothers European Director Emma France, Founder Dr. Mitch Besser and Mentor Mother Johanna Satekge from the Ramokgopa Clinic in Polokwane, South Africa will join VIPs to discuss and celebrate the work of m2m; thank supporters including Stephanie Phair, President, THE OUTNET.COM for this summer’s hugely successful global sale for mothers2mothers in collaboration with Victoria Beckham UNAIDS International Goodwill Ambassador; and announce a fantastic new partnership with Next Management.

At the lunch Mentor Mother Johanna, mother of two from South Africa, will speak about her own experiences and how she and her fellow HIV-positive Mentor Mothers are fighting the stigma of AIDS, educating and supporting other HIV-positive women, and preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV across sub-Saharan Africa.

Since its founding, mothers2mothers (m2m) has reached more than 1.2 million HIV-positive mothers in nine countries in sub-Saharan Africa, and catalysed affiliated Mentor Mother programmes in two additional countries.
