International pharmaceutical company Tibotec supports m2m initiative, 16 May 2008

On May 16th, the Research & Development team at Tibotec in Mechelen, Belgium, celebrated the fact that their latest compound for the treatment of HIV/AIDS, INTELENCE (also known as etravirine, TMC125) had received its first approvals in the US, Canada and Switzerland. Further approvals are anticipated later this year. INTELENCE is the first drug in its class (the so-called NNRTIs), that retains antiviral activity, even when the virus has become resistant to other drugs of the same class.

m2m Site Coordinator wows UNICEF

One of the most inspirational stories from the mothers that touch our lives at mothers2mothers, is that of  Lesotho Site Coordinator Mathakane Metsing. Mathakane was filmed earlier this year by UNICEF Lesotho, and was instrumental in showcasing m2m’s work on the ground and portraying a ‘real’ picture of the situation of women and children in Lesotho.

Ambitious 12 year old raises well over $3000 in support of mothers2mothers. Always the proactive, Isabel Calo started selling the m2m Mothers’ Creations beadwork at her school, and has been selling for the past two years.
