mothers2mothers has been named a 2008 recipient of the Skoll Foundation Award for Social Entrepreneurship. Out of hundreds of worldwide applicants, m2m is one of 11 organizations to receive this prestigious award. Click here for pictures of the award ceremony in Oxford, UK.

One of the most inspirational stories from the mothers that touch our lives at mothers2mothers, is that of  Lesotho Site Coordinator Mathakane Metsing. Mathakane was filmed earlier this year by UNICEF Lesotho, and was instrumental in showcasing m2m’s work on the ground and portraying a ‘real’ picture of the situation of women and children in Lesotho.

Ambitious 12 year old raises well over $3000 in support of mothers2mothers. Always the proactive, Isabel Calo started selling the m2m Mothers’ Creations beadwork at her school, and has been selling for the past two years.
