Shaun joined mothers2mothers in January 2007. He was previously based in India where, in collaboration with several local NGOs, he established vocational training and non-formal education projects for street children; he also taught in the streets and slums. Prior to India, Shaun had a successful career in the private sector, working in London as a trading manager for Goldman Sachs before establishing his own successful investment management company in San Francisco.

In Lesotho, Shaun set-up the first mothers2mothers program outside of South Africa and he currently leads the International Programme Development team in extending m2m ’s activities into other countries within Africa

At least 12 million children in sub-Saharan Africa have lost their parents or caregivers to AIDS-related illnesses. mothers2mothers provides the knowledge, support and hope required for preserving a mother's health so she can live to raise her child.

More than 95% of the mothers in our program are tested for HIV vs. a national average of 20%. Nearly all of them give birth to HIV-negative children.
