During World Health Worker Week, April 5-11, we recognised the vital work of doctors, nurses, and other caregivers to improve the health and wellbeing of all of us around the globe. At mothers2mothers, we are especially grateful to the mothers living with HIV who educate and support other mothers at understaffed health centres in sub-Saharan Africa on protecting their babies from HIV infection and staying healthy. Mentor Mothers like Lydia in Uganda, whose story of survival and perseverance is truly inspirational.
