Campaign Launch: Birth Should Be About Life26 November 2013
In the run up to World AIDS Day, mothers2mothers launch their latest campaign “Birth Should Be About Life”, featuring short film, “A World Apart”, created by leading advertising agency BBH, and directed by award winning, Martin de Thurah.
The campaign highlights the challenges facing some of the 1.3 million HIV-positive women who give birth each year in sub-Saharan Africa – the stigma, discrimination and the isolation . It questions why 700 children being born HIV-positive each day in sub-Saharan Africa, when with the right support and medication, the transmission of HIV is preventable.
