The “Miracle Drops”

During one of the biggest nights of television fundraising in the U.K., Sport Relief 2016, cameras captured the critical moments after a baby was born to an HIV-positive client of mothers2mothers (m2m). Viewers were brought inside a Kenyan health centre to watch as the baby received drops of a lifesaving medicine called nevirapine to help protect him from HIV.

Witnessing this procedure was Rochelle Humes, a U.K. TV presenter who together with her husband, singer Marvin Humes, spent time visiting m2m’s programme in Kenya. They were sent there for Sport Relief, a bi-annual fundraising campaign from one of m2m’s funders, Comic Relief, to see how their funding is changing lives in Kenya.

Rochelle also shared her travel diary with HELLOMAGAZINE.COM.
